Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security provided by third party service providers such as Google.  By enabling 2FA on your AE account, access to your AE dash will not be compromised in instances when an unauthorized party obtains your personal login credentials to the AE platform.

In this article, we will go over measures to be taken for securing your AE account with 2DA. Please familiarize yourself with instructions on how to download, set up and utilize Google two-factor authentication app.

Step 1: Download any 2FA application

The best way to start is to download Google 2FA authentication app for your iPhone or Android.

For Android users, click here.

For iOS users, click here.

Step 2: Log in to your AE account

Proceed to user profiler [ 1 ] and select “Google Authenticator” [ 2 [ from the drop down list.

Step 3: Activate two-factor authentication

Continue by clicking on “Get Google Authenticator” and follow the instructions on downloading a 2FA app for your mobile device or desktop.

Step 4: Link your 2FA application to AE

Open the Google Authentication (or any other) application on your mobile phone and begin the setup. Please note; the setup instructions on your 2FA might be slightly different, depending on the app type and device.

Scan the QR barcode [ 1 ] with your phone's camera (via Google Authentication) and give it a few seconds for the app to generate the data.

Alternatively, you may choose to  enter the key  [ 2 ]  and your email address [ 3 ] manually.

Step 3 - Activate Two Factor Authentication

To verify that everything is set up properly, please enter the security code displayed in Google Authenticator in the field below [ 4 ] and select the button. If the code is correct, the Two Factor Authentication feature will be enabled.

Congratulations! Now your account is now set up with two-factor authentication.
